Sebastian Molina Ruiz, born in Mexico City in 1995, studied Art History at the Universidad Iberoamericana and Cinematography at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), specializing as a director of photography. He highly values visual and aesthetic language in his work as a director. Sebastian has a personal interest in stories that focus on complex relationships and maturity. He has directed fiction short films, music videos, and has also worked as a director of photography. Recently, his debut documentary “Las Hostilidades” won the Work in Progress Award at the Los Cabos International Film Festival, Best Documentary at the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), and the TV UNAM Award at FICUNAM; as well as being an official selection at the IDFA and Hot Docs festivals. He was recently selected to participate in Berlinale Talents Guadalajara in 2022. He is an avid fan of the Tigres de Monterrey.
