Laura Baumeister

Laura Baumeister is a Nicaraguan-Argentine filmmaker whose narrative blends poetic beauty, social critique, and a distinctly feminine gaze. Trained at the CCC, her work has earned multiple international awards for its visual sensitivity and thematic strength. Her films explore complex realities through intimate, symbolic storytelling marked by tenderness and precision. Paula Hopf

Paula Hopf is a CCC-trained director known for intimate and visually expressive storytelling. Her style transforms the everyday into emotionally rich narratives, guided by intuition and detail. From film to audiovisual work, she builds immersive atmospheres with authenticity and symbolism. Every element in her projects serves a clear narrative purpose. Her internationally awarded pieces stand out for their visual delicacy and emotional depth, reinforcing a creative vision that is both honest and personal.

Sebastián Molina

Sebastian Molina Ruiz, born in Mexico City in 1995, studied Art History at the Universidad Iberoamericana and Cinematography at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), specializing as a director of photography. He highly values visual and aesthetic language in his work as a director. Sebastian has a personal interest in stories that focus on complex relationships and maturity. He has directed fiction short films, music videos, and has also worked as a director of photography. Recently, his debut documentary “Las Hostilidades” won the Work in Progress Award at the Los Cabos International Film Festival, Best Documentary at the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), and the TV UNAM Award at FICUNAM; as well as being an official selection at the IDFA and Hot Docs festivals. He was recently selected to participate in Berlinale Talents Guadalajara in 2022. He is an avid fan of the Tigres de Monterrey.

Alejandro Guzmán

Alejandro Guzmán studied at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in Mexico and currently works as a teacher, director, and screenwriter for film and theater. His first feature film, Distancias cortas, won the Critics’ Award at the Montreal Festival and was screened at festivals such as Chicago, Tallinn Black Nights, and Havana. Estanislao is his second feature.
